Congratulations to the 2022 Washington County Republican Party Delegates and Alternate Delegates elected to attend the 2022 Nebraska Republican Party Convention. Washington County is allotted 6 Delegates plus 6 Alternate Delegates to attend the Republican state convention. The WCRP Convention was held on Monday, March 21, 2022 immediately following the WCRP Meet & Greet event. The event was attended by over 60 people who heard from Republican candidates across the ballot running for Nebraska Governor to County Supervisor to School board. Candidates and office holders attending included: Congressman Adrian Smith, Governor candidates Senator Brent Lindstrom, Charles W. Herbster, Councilwoman Aimee Melton (for Theresa Thibodeau), Heidi Borg (for Jim Pillen), Senator Ben Hansen, State Senator candidate Connie Peterson, County Attorney Scott Vander Schaf, County Sheriff Mike Robinson, Clerk of the District Court Susie Paulsen, Supervisors Lisa Kramer, Jordon Rischel, Steve Kruger, candidate for Public Service Commissioner Dist. 4 Mayor Eric Kamler, Governor candidates Michael Connely, Lela McNinch, Secretary of State candidate Rex Shroder, State Attorney General candidate Jennifer Hicks, Blair School Board candidates Aimee Cothran, Courtney Tabor, Nate Larsen, Blair City Council candidate Rick Paulsen, County Supervisor candidate Jon Stewart.

For Washington Country Republican Delegates considering attending the 2022 NEGOP State Convention, it will be held on July 8-9, 2022 at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney. The Nebraska Republican Party has reserved blocks of group rate hotel rooms at both the Comfort Inn and Fairfield Inn. Tomorrow evening following the WCRP Candidate Meet & Greet, 2022 Washington County Republican Delegates (those who filed my March 1st) will elect delegates to attend the NEGOP State Convention.

The February 28, 2022 Washington County Republican Party meeting with Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen and Senator Ben Hansen was very informative. Secretary Evnen explained in great detail the care Nebraska takes in election integrity and debunked all of the misinformation floating around on Facebook. Also attending was Washington County Clerk and Election Commission Barb Sullivan who confirmed detail of care in ballot handling and counting, etc. Senator Ben Hansen discussed the current state of Legislation in the Nebraska Unicameral. They just past halfway through the 2022 legislative session which is 60 days long this year.
